Answers for clinics evaluating PhyseoApp

Do patients need to download an app?
No. Patients open a secure link from an email, verify their identity with a six-digit code, and view their programme in a responsive web portal through any modern browser.
How do patients verify their identity?
Patients enter a six-digit code sent to their email before their programme is displayed, confirming they are the intended recipient without needing a password or account.
Can patients print or download their programme?
Yes. Patients can use a clean print view or download a branded PDF copy of their full programme.
Can clinics use their own email provider?
Yes. Clinics can configure their own SMTP email provider, or use the platform's built-in delivery service.
Can the platform use clinic branding?
Yes. Clinics can apply their own logo, colours and identity to emails, the patient portal, login screens and PDFs.
Does it support multiple clinics?
Yes. Multi-clinic support includes clinic-level configuration, centralised staff management, and data kept isolated between locations.
What security features are included?
The platform includes encryption of sensitive data, staff multi-factor authentication, secure patient verification, cryptographically secure programme links, audit logging, role-based access and more. See the Security page for the full list.
Can practitioners track patient engagement?
Yes. Practitioners can see link clicks, verification events, programme views, prints, PDF downloads, and first and last viewed timestamps for every programme.
What happens when an exercise is changed after a programme is sent?
Sent programmes are preserved as immutable snapshots. Changing an exercise in the library later does not alter programmes that have already been sent to patients.
Can existing patient data be imported?
Yes. Patient and exercise data can be imported using CSV imports, helping clinics get started faster.
Is any software installation required?
No. Practitioners and administrators use the platform through a web browser, and patients need nothing installed at all.
What staff roles are available?
The platform supports role-based access for practitioners, receptionists and administrators, so each team member sees only what their role requires.
Is PhyseoApp a replacement for our practice-management system?
No. PhyseoApp is an exercise prescription platform that complements your existing clinical and practice-management systems — it is not an electronic health record or booking system.
How long are programme links active?
Link expiry is configurable by the clinic, and links are automatically rotated whenever a programme is resent.
Can patients track their exercise adherence?
Yes. Patients log each day's exercises as complete, and an adherence rate is calculated automatically showing the percentage of prescribed exercises completed, with a calendar view of past completions.
Can patients report pain levels to their practitioner?
Yes. Patients report pain daily using a simple 0–10 pain scale, with an optional comment. Pain levels are shown to the practitioner with trend visualisation over time.
Can patients and practitioners message each other?
Yes. Patients can send secure messages to their practitioner from within the portal, and practitioners reply from the platform. Each conversation is scoped to the clinic relationship, not a single programme.
Does the platform send reminder emails to patients?
Yes. Configurable reminder emails are sent to patients who haven't logged activity for a set number of days, helping keep programmes on track between appointments.
What happens when a patient reports high pain?
An automatic alert email is sent to the assigned practitioner whenever a patient reports pain above a threshold the clinic configures, so it can be acted on before the next appointment.
Are there gamification features to motivate patients?
Yes. Patients see their current exercise streak and can earn milestone and achievement badges. These are clinically appropriate and subtle — calculated from real activity and shown only once earned.
Can clinics export adherence and pain data?
Yes. Clinic administrators can export adherence and pain data as CSV for reporting.
Is there an analytics dashboard for clinics?
Yes. A dedicated analytics page shows clinic-wide adherence and pain trends, an engagement funnel, and a "patients needing attention" view that flags inactivity and high pain automatically.
